Visa application
To visit mainland China, most foreign travelers need to obtain a visa from the Chinese embassy or consulate in their country. To apply for a visa, you will need to present your passport, invitation letter and etc. Please contact the Chinese embassy or consulate in or near your city for complete requirements.

While you are in China, you can travel to almost all Chinese cities. So you can either go to Shanghai directly or go to Shanghai from another city of mainland China.

1. To obtain a tourist visa
China is open to overseas tourists from almost all countries. You can easily apply and visit China as a tourist and do not need to present an invitation letter from China. There is no difference between a tourist visa and a business visa for visiting ReChina Expo in Shanghai, China.

2. To obtain a business visa
To apply for a business visa from the Chinese embassy, you will need to present an invitation letter in addition to other documents. You may get the official invitation letter from you business partners or friends in China.
